Notable—unlike other schools, Wesleyan Uni says it will not clear an encampment so long as it remains non-violent: "This morning you can find pro-Palestinian protestors camped out…as long as we all reject violence, we have opportunities to listen and to learn from one another."

The corporate university model needs to be wholly dismantled and universities need to be restructured around democratic practices of shared governance. It's been a disaster for curiosity-driven research and teaching, and very bad for surrounding communities.
