S3 pupils have been learning about Medical Ethics in RMPS. They have been studying abortion, euthanasia and IVF/Designer babies. Some pupils also did their own research on Organ donation. Well done everyone!

In RMPS our S1’s have been learning about Jewish food laws. Have a look at some of their brilliant Kosher menus! One pupil called their restaurant the Star of David, which is the symbol for Judaism! *Remember not to mix meat and dairy* Great work everyone.

Well done to C for earning each of his Modern Studies supported study points! Your prize will be with you tomorrow!

New S3 pupils started their new unit in Modern Studies by playing the Human Rights Game where they had a budget of £1000 to buy 4 human rights against the clock, ultimately learning that you shouldn’t need to buy your human rights!! Arran High School

What a great day we had yesterday at the Arran Heritage Museum with S1 pupils Arran High School! Thanks very much to all the volunteers! Thanks also to Miss Stewart for coming along to help in your last full week! All of the pupils will miss you after a fantastic year!

Great last day of term yesterday where we bid farewell to 2 of our members of staff - Ms Welburn in History and Miss Lockie in RE! Best of luck as you move on to your new jobs! We also celebrated Miss Lockie’s hen-do as she becomes Mrs Tait during the summer holidays!

S1 Social Subjects have been learning about the Romans and their impact on Britain. They worked in groups to create posters that include information on: - the Roman invasion - things the Romans brought to Britain - the Romans vs the Caledonians - the Roman walls

One of our National 5 Modern Studies pupils is running in the SYP Elections! Emma has a huge interest in politics and we are all very confident that she will make a fantastic representative for young people’s voices!
