This week, Somali Joint Fund, Embassy of Switzerland in Nairobi, @NorwayinSomalia and Netherlands in Somalia reps assessed the Saameynta Joint Programme's durable solutions efforts in Baidoa: community-led housing pilots; and Enterprise Development Fund support for agribusinesses; and job creation efforts.

We are happy to receive the DSRSG/RC/HC George Conway in Baidoa. The mission visited Barwaaqo sites to showcase achievements of durable solution projects supported by partners. The resettled IDPs requested sustainable livelihood support, resilient housing and education. The

Barwaqo resettlement site is now part of Baidoa City. The relocation site has now fully functional roads supported by the World bank and KFW , a pilot electricity grid by UK’s FCDO/Mercy corps and Integrated zonal planning supported by IOM, UNHCR and UN Habitat. Barwaqo extension
