HOW DO WE CELEBRATE & SHARE OUR PERSONAL PROFESSIONAL INQUIRIES? Each year educators share their learning journey through our artefact galleries or hosting a workshop. We call this the Festival of Inquiry. Today we curated our gallery. #bpsinquiry

FESTIVAL OF INQUIRY DAY 1 - today Lindsay hosted a roomshare to share her inquiry into igniting a passion for reading in kindergarten. Lindsay shared her reflections on her ‘50 Books in 50 Days’ challenge. #BPSInquiry

FESTIVAL OF INQUIRY - Day 2 This morning Greg Terrell shared his inquiry journey as a Principal Coach Mentor for leaders in our system in a staffroom chat. Thank you for being a contributor and taking on this important work. #bpsinquiry

FESTIVAL OF INQUIRY - Day 2 - after school we engaged in two roomshares hosted by our EALD teacher on developing conversational language and a year 3/4 teacher about her inquiry into play which led to the creation of Play Kits of small loose parts. #BPSInquiry

FESTIVAL OF INQUIRY - Day 3 our Self-Regulated Learning Focus group shared strategies and reflections for motivation strategies trialled this year - positive self-talk, mastery goal setting, growth mindset, building self-efficacy and developing learner identity. Dr Shyam Barr

Happy Week 0! This is when teachers return to school before the children to engage in PL, prep and connect with colleagues. We always take time to connect with Country as well. Our walk today included creating mini-canvases of beautiful things from Country. #BPSInquiry

IS IT ART? Our year 1/2s have visited a special gallery with a range of pieces. They were asked to think about and discuss if the piece was art or not. We are investigating-what is art and why do people do it? Tuning in and sharing our first theories is a part of our process.

What is art and why do we do it? As researchers we visited the local art gallery to reflect on the exhibitions and notice how galleries present art. We will take action with what we have learned back at school when creating our own gallery! @kjinquiry one we planned together

What’s your Rose, Thorn and Bud for term 2? Today we reflected on the term’s positives and challenges, and considered a next step. Posting the reflections provides public affirmation and a commitment strategy for the term ahead.

Taking action- today our year 1/2 students hosted their families and friends at their very own art gallery. They have been inquiring into what makes art and have been finding out through a connection with our local gallery and case studies. @kjinquiry thanks for your guidance!
