this isn’t something we might talk about as much externally anymore but Square has done A LOT of work to improve reliability and it’s been extremely fruitful

We (Square) don’t have a configurable Checkout solution; but these posts always really highlight how Stripe pricing can be hard to track. You add features and now you’re at 3.5% fees or higher. At that point, using Square’s APIs might be enticing.

I'll never forget the moment I figured this out. I paired with a friend of mine, chopping some work into small, easily understood, well-factored functions. and when we got done, I asked, "Now isn't this much easier to read?" "No," he replied. "No, it's not."

I know everyone here loves excalidraw for system design diagrams. Excalidraw lacks "Search" functionality on Icons for goated libraries like "AWS Architecture Icons". The discussions are going on for the last 2 years but this is not shipped. So, i raised a PR to fix this.

code should be like a blog. abstract out the unnecessary parts while keeping the core message you wouldn’t link out/abstract on every line of a blog
