Are you experiencing uneven corn stands? Weather is usually the culprit but so can shallow or uneven planting depths. Consecutive cloudy, cool and wet days can cause corn to look chlorotic and slow growth, but herbicide carryover can also be a contributing factor. AgriGold

Just shy of 120 GDU’s in this corn on corn plot & seeing emergence. Nice root to shoot ratios on plants, shows good hormonal balance. I like to see the soil sticking to roots as it tells me they are healthy & have good activity. AgriGold

Calcium is important as it’s a driver for nutrients within plants. It does make it a challenge when it’s in excess & dominates the soil. Conducting trials in these environments improves understanding & product placement. A lot of info gleaned from these high pH trails. AgriGold

Are any of your corn fields looking pale green and yellow? Nitrogen deficiency is the obvious culprit but what about sulfur? Very common to have both on sandy soils with low organic matter. Cool , wet conditions early can also induce S deficiency. AgriGold
