Life expectancy has increased dramatically in the last 150 years. How is life expectancy calculated, and what does it mean? What’s the difference between period and cohort life expectancy?

Cervical cancer is being defeated thanks to two things: Pap smears and the Gardasil vaccine. HPV vaccination is so effective that many countries will have practically eliminated cervical cancer in the next two decades. Here's why🧵

This new preprint was designed so poorly that it provides absolutely no proof that mRNA vaccines caused cancer/other diseases. It compared 10 (!) handpicked sick patients to 803 healthy patients. And behold, they show different RNA expression profiles. Because they were sick.

A massive new analysis found that rates of cognitive decline don't vary by education level. That is, though people with more education may generally be smarter, their cognitive abilities don't decline more slowly.

There's a widespread myth that zero-calorie sweeteners like aspartame spike your blood sugar and insulin levels. This has no basis in reality. To the body, the effect is indistinguishable from drinking water.

Prime editing (an advanced form of gene editing that can precisely correct DNA errors) just restored immune function in chronic granulomatous disease (a rare immune disorder)—66% of immune cells that fight infections were working again by day 30, and inflammation was reversed.

Breaking the benzo death trap: Startling data shows old studies claimed 4x death risk from anxiety meds, but meticulously controlled analysis of 1.25M patients found ZERO added mortality (HR=1.00, CI 0.96-1.04). Why the dramatic reversal? Bad methods create phantom demons.

Has gene-editing just cured Type 1 Diabetes? Swedish team transplanted insulin cells INVISIBLE to the immune system - no rejection drugs needed. Here's what they did 🧵👇

Two satellites have changed the game in the last 10 years for farmers, scientists, oil & gas companies, other companies. They are the OCO satellites—Orbiting Carbon Observatories. Used daily. The Trump Administration has ordered one destroyed, the other turned off. Why? —>

More than 5.6 BILLION people took the COVID vaccines. If there was a mass dying wave, miscarriages and stillbirths, cardiac issues, or anything else, we have more than enough data to show those things. But they never happened! They're not real, they're a neurotic delusion.

Did you know that sudden cardiac death is the top cause of death for athletes? Guess what year this quote is from. It's from 2016, long before COVID vaccination.

Many interesting biotech papers published in the last few days. Rather than just write about one of them, here are blurbs for my three favorites: 1. Whole genome sequences for 490,640 people (open access) // nature.com/articles/s4158… Complete DNA sequences (including non-coding

If every obese person got on GLP-1 drugs today, in one year, we would eliminate most obesity. Obesity is a willpower problem more than ever before, but I don't mean personal willpower. I'm instead referring to the will of government officials to make these drugs more available.
