One can criticize Sweden for many things, but their pandemic response honored child rights and feminism when most others did not.

Second, Omicron transmits efficiently in both vaxxed and unvaxxed people. The vaccines are amazing for prevention of severe disease, but cannot stop transmission. We adults must take responsibility to protect ourselves, not place burdensome and ineffective measures on children.

Urgency of Equity There is a moral urgency to stop prioritizing covid over childhood. This myopic attempt to control one airborne virus at the expense of everything else is the opposite of health and safety.
