Reception had an UDDERly amazing time at Stonehurst Farm. We learnt about different animals and how wheat grows. We also sat in a tractor, and described our favourite animals using adjectives - we saw spotty pigs and fluffy guinea pigs! Can you describe your favourite animal? ๐
Article 28 states that we have the right to education. This week we have been exercising this right by learning about our oceans and our planet. We learnt facts about different sea animals and then created our own ocean art pictures. Can you have a go at drawing our ocean? ๐

This week in Cooking Club, we made some delicious spaghetti with chunky vegetables! We boiled our spaghetti, chopped up peppers and tomatoes into chunks, and added herbs and sweetcorn into a tomato sauce. Look at this lovely picture of AM, enjoying her scrumptious spaghetti! ๐

Our Pre-school children have been diving into the world of capacity.
Using our sand area as a hands-on learning space, the children have been busy exploring and experimenting with different containers as they learn all about 'full', 'half full', and 'empty'.

In Miss Savadia & Miss Rashidโs Cooking Club , we made delicious ice-cream milkshakes! We chopped up some berries and poured in the milk & icecream! We melted and drizzled chocolate into our cups, and then drank it up! We topped them off with chocolate whipped cream! ๐ฅ๐๐ซ
Weโve been embracing Article 31 โ the right to rest, play, culture, and the arts in so many creative ways. Pre-school have enjoyed collaging sunflowers, role-playing in our ice-cream shop, and engaging in storytelling in the library. Itโs been a joyful start to the term! ๐ป#RRSA

Reception had an exciting trip to the Great Central Railway! ๐ We explored the Diesel Multiple Unit, learnt about the 1899 stations, and saw the Quorn Straight in First Class seats - a long, straight track near Loughborough! We exercised our right to an education (Article 28).

Pre-school are expanding their knowledge of life-cycles, and have been focusing on the journey of the ladybird. During an outdoor learning session, the children made an exciting discovery โ they spotted both a baby ladybird and a ladybird chrysalis! ๐
