Celebrating Black History Month we had activities that featured Rosa Parks, the mother of the civil rights movement, and Mae Jamison, an engineer and 1st African American Women accepted into the NASA astronaut program. These women rock and so do our students! 🤩Duryea Elementary

Guess who had a Leprechaun visit their class?!He surprised us with a special note, and some interesting green rocks that with a ✨magical mixture✨ revealed they had gold gems inside! Duryea Elementary Happy St Pattys Day!

Check out how we used our scissors skills to help Mr. Leprechaun get his beard trimmed. We also enjoyed creating a rainbow with skittles. We finished out the week sorting a graphing some Lucky Charm marshmallows. No holiday pinching here-too busy learning! Duryea Elementary
