This is wrong. Without God, individuals search for comforting lies, and groups search for paganism. In Christ, individuals search for truth by the Spirit, and groups search for consensus on the truth by the Spirit.

The idea of modern religious pluralism (Christianity alongside Islam, Judaism etc.) would be repugnant to the historic Baptists.

It's from Benjamin Keach in The Glory of a True Church. I posted it not to say he is right. Rather, to give pause to Baptists who regard this as unthinkable & contrary to our heritage. Why do they think that way? It has more to do with the feminine gaze than history or Bible.

Disqualified pastors should not unpublish their books permanently. Maybe for a time with wisdom, but sound teaching should not be withheld from the church because of the author's personal failings - even failure to take their own advice.
