Sirens are off and Addison Fire has issued an all clear but cautions to remain on high alert. A tornado was spotted south of Addison. There are power outages throughout town.

In an abundance of caution the Addison Fire Department has activated the outdoor warning sirens. The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for the Dallas area. Please take appropriate actions.

As of 5:30am the Arapaho Bridge is clear.  There are a few slick spots on Marsh between Vitruvian and Spring Valley so be careful out there this morning.

7am - Due to icy roads, we are closing the Arapaho Bridge (which goes over Midway Rd). Please seek alternate routes. Stay safe!

BE AWARE OF ICY CONDITIONS. We have closed the Arapaho Bridge this morning due to ice and crews are also seeing ice at major intersections in town. They will begin applying sand but are warning residents that roads are slick and asking them to please stay home.

We are opening a warming center at the Addison Athletic Club for Addison residents beginning at 8pm tonight. Please bring face masks (we are following COVID-19 protocols), bedding and food (none will be provided). No pets are allowed.

Retired Captain Deanna Robinson unexpectedly passed away on February 6, 2025. Deanna served Addison for 30 years, beginning in 1981. She was the first female Addison Officer. Deanna retired from Addison PD in 2011. Services are today at 2:00pm at Restland Funeral Home.
