If a consultant has done this, their name, GMC no, reason for rejection, and proposed management plan should be provided. Anything less is unhelpful, and a patient is likely to suffer. My worry is that these rejections are sent by non-registered workers

The #PhysicianAssociates Royal College of General Practitioners paper has been leaked. As a Council member I can't really discuss the paper publicly, as despite the leak it is still officially confidential. But I believe that PAs have no role in General Practice, & I plan to say as much at #RCGPCouncil tomorrow.

I saw my GP morning, she was professional, friendly, kind, efficient and knowledgeable; she listened and examined me carefully, asked questions (including ones I didn't think were relevant to the "thing"). When she told me her diagnosis, I had a light-bulb moment realising why

I did 2 x 12hr weekend lists to help a consultant at this trust 10 or so years ago and never got paid. They have history. Get together & decide what is an acceptable offer. Keep declining these shifts until that minimum rate is met. It’s not a case of “if”, but “when” it happens.
