2/2 This contribution is very critical to the continued delivery of quality education to over 118,000 students in 169 UNRWA schools around the Kingdom. Jordan is a generous host and an important supporter of UNRWA and the Palestine refugees.

In 169 #UNRWA schools in Jordan, today over 115,000 girls and boys went Back to Learning. All UNRWA schools, teachers and children are following the MOH health and safety regulations to protect against COVID-19: social distancing - in the corridors, playgrounds and classrooms.

Overwhelming happiness filled the hearts of children, parents, teachers, and staff as Palestine refugee students returned to learning! In this exceptional year caution and responsibility through COVID-19 preventive measure will ensure a #StaySafe and successful Back to Learning

Last night an air strike on Beach refugee camp in Gaza left scores of people dead. One family, the Abu Hatabs, lost 10 members, eight of them children. UNRWA condemns the killing of civilians and is shocked by the level and scale of destruction! The killing must stop now!
