Biggest deficit for Chiefs now than in any of their recent Super Bowls except of course the one they lost in Super Bowl 55 against Tampa Bay

It's difficult to imagine a worse first half by the Chiefs. They are averaging 0.8 yards per play. Mahomes has thrown a couple of picks and been sacked 3 times. They have 1 first down

The problem for the Chiefs in terms of their pass protection is that the Eagles have yet to blitz. Not once. They're winning big by rushing four or at times three players.

So it's gone from bad to worse for Chiefs, who now trail by more points than in any of their other Super Bowls, including Super Bowl 1, when they lost 35-10 to the Packers.

Chris Jones was standing along sideline on that TD with his helmet on, looking like he was ready to go back in the game. No point in that anymore.

Mahomes said tonight's loss stands with the one in Super Bowl 55 against Tampa. "They both sucked. These will be the two losses that motivate me the rest of my career."

Mahomes said he was taking more ownership for this loss than any other in his career because of the three turnovers, including the pick-6

No threepeat for the Chiefs but they will try to start a new streak next year at Super Bowl 60 in the Bay Area. Whether the Chiefs are there or not, I won't be on hand to cover it.

I will be around for another few months at ESPN to cover the Chiefs' draft and offseason practice. But no more games or seasons for me. It's been quite a ride.
