When I was in grad school, online forums were big for trial watchers-filled with amateur sleuths glued to high profile trials. It seems now YouTube is the place for this phenomenon-ppl watch these trials with commentary by a few youtube lawyers. Interesting phenomenon.

I'm amazed by how unfamiliar with the rules of evidence some of these legal commentators who draw large audiences online are. Watching folks baffled by the fact an expert can testify to an ultimate issue. Even under the FRE, that is not an automatic bar to admissibility.

This is like when a teenager says they're making dinner—Kraft single on some fries...
