City’s quiet. It’s a relief to see Blüdhaven 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 — at least for the time being. He sits atop the city’s bank as the moon showers the streets in an angelic glow.

Him? Trouble? 𝙉𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧. But, hypothetically, if he were to have been in any trouble, it would be because he took a bad 𝙩𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙡𝙚. He’s more than fine now though, especially knowing the great ORACLE is on comms.

Where would he be without her, honestly. “Comms check — listening out for an adorable puppy and a guide to prevent any further falls from dangerous heights.” He stands from his current position, dark curls sifting in the night wind; a smile painting his mettle.

A good book and a nice cup of tea isn’t a bad time spent. But, if she’s ever in Blüdhaven and looking for some time out, she’s got his number.

He’s looking forward to it. It’s been awhile since they’ve had a chance to hang out. In spite of the crime rate, the city’s real beautiful at night.

“Home early?” Allowing his weight to fall forward, the sound of rushing wind fills the comms as he plummets toward his next destination. Had he forgotten something? A movie night, maybe? “Want anything on the way back? My treat, of course.”

He can’t. They’re both too stubborn for it to end amicably.

More blood won’t clean them up either. He 𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘴 it. But there’s always better ways of accomplishing things.

And when has that 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 worked well, Jason? It doesn’t hurt to just let someone help for once. This 𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘥𝘦 act is tiresome.

Still too jaded to see that this isn’t about following orders. We’re not kids anymore, Jason. I handle things my way, Bruce handles things his way. But the 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 effects more than just a simple crime boss.

And you think your option will? Taking them out is as much of a half-measure as trying to rehabilitate them. You’ll be confined to an endless crusade of blood and pain. Sound familiar?
