We prioritized physical and psychological wellbeing of young women with disabilities in specific and women with disabilities in general through sports, psychosocial counselling, peer counselling and yoga and meditation. ARROW #WorldMentalHealthDay accessplanet.org.np

•In Nepal the Persons with psychosocial disabilities felt more isolated because of less access to peer support due to lockdown •Issues of mental health was not prioritize as entire focus was on Covid19 ARROW #MentalHealthMatters

Persons with psychosocial disabilities could not go to hospitals for treatment on the mental health issue due to fear of Covid19 in Nepal, there were not support mechanism and programs focused for psychosocial disabilities during the Covid19. ARROW #MentalHealthMatters

Young women with disabilities were in double stressful situation due to difficulty in managing their basic needs as most of these women have not attained the good employment or profession. #MentalHealthMatters ARROW

Women with disabilities felt very isolated, helpless and vulnerable during the initial phase of Covid19 but due to lockdown, we could not visit them personally to provide peer counseling. ARROW #MentalHealthMatters

Being ourselves activist with disabilities, we felt double burden on keeping safe ourselves and supporting other young women with disabilities in the communities ARROW #MentalHealthMatters

When most of the young women with disabilities were in mental stress due to difficulty to fulfill basic needs during pandemic, we faced many challenges in distributing relief packages because of the situation of complete lockdown. ARROW #MentalHealthMatters

•Provided peer counseling and remote counselling •Conducted disability inclusive yoga and meditation. •Provided relief support •Organized capacity building sessions; virtual computer training, speech competitions, leadership trainings. ARROW #MentalHealthMatters

Need to openly talk about #MH during and beyond pandemic Persons with psychosocial disabilities should provide with equal respect. Matter of wellbeing should be taken into special consideration in workplace. ARROW #MentalHealthMatters
