Not at our best tonight and caused our own problems with a performance below where we know we can be. Congratulations to our friends Leigh Ramblers on a 4 nil win. Best of luck, guys, for the coming season.

Was always going to be a tough game and a bit like the walking wounded today and scratching to keep 11 players on the pitch. Some good individual performances in a heavy 7 nil defeat. Thanks to Basildon Town FC for the game today, and best of luck for the coming season.

Certainly, I didn't have our shooting boots on yesterday. Played well in general but was below par in front of goal. Thank you to our friends at Rayleigh Town FC who took their chances and therefore deserved a 2 nil win. Best of luck for the coming season.

Really good squad workout tonight in our last home preseason friendly at The Warren. Showed some strong character coming back from 2-1 down to secure 3-2 win. Thanks to our friends at Wickford Wolves for a very challenging game and wishing you all a successful season.

Not the season opener the 1st Team were looking for but more than played their part in a 10 goal thriller. End to end action, which could quite easily have seen more goals and a closer scoreline. Well done to ShenfieldAFC see you in the return leg.

1st Team off the mark today with a dominant first-half performance, which was enough to take the points. Thanks to our friends Herongate Athletic FC, the better team in the second half, but much like ourselves last week, gave themselves too much of an uphill task to gain the result.

Yesterday the 1st Team hit the road for the first time this season, taking the points in a strongly contested 5-2 victory. Thank you Springfield FC for hosing. You deserve better support from Chelmsford City Council with the pitch to match the hard work you are putting into the facility.

Yesterday the Reserves started their Mid Essex Football League (MEFL) campaign with a 6-1 home victory. Most encouraging was a number of senior debuts by players from our Youth section of the club. Thank you to Scrattons FC and all the best for the season. #OneClub💚

Moment of madness and ill discipline saw all the good work thrown out of the window as 1st went down 3-2 on the road. Thanks to our friends at Bishop Stortford Swifts FC for hosting. Best of luck for the rest of the season.

Some costly mistakes gifted goals to Manford Way. However great effort from them in second half with 10 men to secure a 5-5 draw. 4 goals for Hamoud and Yusuf off the mark for the season. Thank you to our friends Manford Way FC best of luck for rest of the season.
