Talking point at #GPACF21 - when do we ‘become’ GPs? Eleanor Southgate makes the excellent point about how we enact our identity when we introduce ourselves to patients “trainee” “Registrar” etc #MedEd

#GPACF21 How well developed is your 'idea toolkit'? How do you collate and connect articles, books, references to inform your #academic writing?

Thoughtful workshop with ⁦Dr Lucy Pocock (follow me on Blue Sky)⁩ on managing setbacks earlier today at the London ⁦London Academic GP Training⁩ conference A reminder to be kind to ourselves, compassionate to each other & open to sharing failure. ‘Comparison is the thief of joy’ #GPACF21

great day at #GPACF21 - currently getting top tips from Dr Mary Anne Burrow on Women in Academia. Gender pay gaps, combining academia with clinical work (and caring responsibilities?!), why so fewer women in senior academic positions? It's 2021 and much work to be done...
