Fran Kirby playing for England is a monumental part of why I first started following women’s football. There’s only one Super Fran 🥹✨

The string of clubs that are closing down their women's teams demands some kind of serious, open thinking from a group of stakeholders - football, governmental, club - across the game. The commercial/power dynamics are not working - women's teams own barely anything to leverage.

Looking for artists and illustrators in women’s football for a cool Euros project this summer, tell a friend to tell a friend 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🎨⚽️

For as far as women's football has come, it has a long way to go until situations such as this are no longer a regular occurrence. Blackburn Rovers and Barnsley FC may be two of the latest incidents; they sadly won't be the last.

God forbid a player puts her welfare above the entertainment of others. Really embarrassed to read some of the reactions to Earps, Kirby and Bright’s recent international decisions. All this ‘Wiegman’s lost the dressing room’ is a grim take on player autonomy. #Lionesses

I don’t think I missed an announcement but what’s the thinking behind London Seaward changing to Athletico London?

Paul Watson (@paul_c_watson) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Really enjoyed chatting about The Soccermen on Guardian Football Weekly today. If you ever wondered whether you could play for San Marino this is where that conversation can lead you! The doc is in festivals and hopefully will be on a streaming service soon.

Just over a week to go and Paul Watson will be back in Reading to host the #FIBAWARDS25. We're recording a special preview podcast the man behind the mic, find out what he's been up to and ask any questions. Any burning questions we can put to him? ⤵️

It might just be the time to bring back my podcast…🎙️ If you’re playing/managing/coaching/volunteering/doing anything else in Tiers 3-7 of the women’s pyramid, drop me a DM! I’d love to chat to people again 🗣️ #womeninfootball #womensfootball
