Delivery of these life-saving emergency supplies to Ministry of Public Health - Lebanon aimed at enhancing the capacity of health systems to manage mass casualty & other health emergencies. Thankful to the MoPH and WHO teams for facilitating the timely delivered of these emergency kits to Beirut Airport.
I joined HE. Dr. Firass Abiad, Minister of Public Health Lebanon, this morning to receive 32 tons of emergency trauma surgical kits donated by the WHO. Ministry of Public Health - Lebanon & WHO are working together to ensure that life-saving emergency supplies are prepositioned at frontline hospitals.
The Public Health Emergency Operations Centre (PHEOC) at Ministry of Public Health - Lebanon played a vital role in managing & coordinating preparedness and response for public health emergencies in 🇱🇧. I joined the humanitarian team led by RC and Minister Nasser Yassin to commemorate #WorldHumanitarianDay by visiting the Hebarieh community, where a relief center was destroyed & 7 paramedics were killed while serving the people. Attacks on humanitarian workers must stop!
