Model Xinsi 辛巳式 was a short rifle made by the Repair Shop of Security Department of the North China puppet regime in Beijing during WW2. It's a Japanese Type 38 action rifle in 7.9 Mauser Cal. Over 12000 were made. CHINESE XINSI MODEL RIFLE, BANZAI, Aug 2024 #506

The Model 45 rifle was manufactured by Chinese communists in Shandong between 1947.4-1948.6 of the Civil war years. The rifle is a hybrid of Mauser and Arisaka. Its receiver was absorbed from the New Six-Five rifle that Liu Guifu designed in 1943 for the improved Model 81 rifle.

One thing I love about Winchester during the 19th & early 20th century is how closely their patents look to their tool room prototypes. They had some excellent draughtsmen who were extremely skilled, this aided in protecting the designs when the patents were submitted.

Looks like Japanese named weapons after two flowers. Japanese made was named as cherry and puppet Chinese made was named as orchids
