I have voted ‘yes’ for a speaker 12 times since becoming a MLA in May 2022. Yes for Patsy McGlone; yes for Mike Nesbitt. Not one of those votes has been considered worthy of consideration as I don’t designate as Unionist or Nationalist. That must change.

It was a privilege to deliver a tour of Clifton Street Cemetery with Stephen McCracken for the Wolfe Tone 225 Conference. From Templeton and Tennent to the Drennan and McCracken families- the cemetery is the final resting place of the key personalities of the period in Belfast.

Obstruction to abortion care at local and regional levels needs to be actively managed. Women in NI who are legally entitled to care should be able to avail of that without having to travel. Providers need to be supported. #abortionishealthcare

🚊 Dublin’s Luas 2050 plan includes two new circular lines around the city centre - plus a new orbital route beyond the M50. Meanwhile in Belfast, the Circle Line remains a campaign. Dublin is planning for the future. Belfast needs to catch up - with its own "circle"!
