FINAL: UCLA beats Murray State 6-4. Very Bruins-like performance: good team offense early in the game, clean defense, a solid opener job by Barnett, and effective mixing and matching in the bullpen. Racers fought hard after falling behind 6-0 early, but Bruins kept their poise.

It's game time -- LSU vs. Arkansas, Anderson vs. Root. Awesome atmosphere, dynamite matchup. This is gonna be fun. Kendall will be our lead writer and tweeter for this one, but you're already following him.

Root wasn't sharp in the second -- 2 walks and an HBP along with that RBI single to Stanfield. So our Root-Anderson duel is dead in the water -- but Gaeckle vs. Anderson also sounds fun.

What a treat it has been watching Kade Anderson and Gabe Gaeckle trade zeroes since Gaeckle entered in the 2nd. Two guys with just ridiculous four-pitch arsenals, at the peak of their powers. The Anderson hammer and the Gaeckle slider are both so filthy tonight. Still 3-0 LSU, M6

If you love good pitching, this game was a lot of fun to watch. So much premium stuff from both sides in this one. But LSU scratched out those 3 runs in the 2nd inning, and that proved enough support for Kade Anderson, with Chase Shores and Casan Evans behind him.

Utterly astonishing turn of events. Louisville comes back from 3-1 down with a bizarre 6-spot in the 8th to eliminate Arizona, 8-3. Cards will take on the Coastal/Oregon State loser on Tuesday. Tough way for a great Arizona season to end.

This is the dumbest half inning ever. Listen, I'm not even arguing if the calls were right or not. I just hate that we're watching players get called out on a pitch clock violation K and an HBP K in the same inning, in a big spot at the CWS. It just feels icky.

I selected Colby Thorndyke as my pre-CWS Player to Watch for Coastal Carolina Baseball in our live show on Thursday -- he was a force in regionals and had been quiet since his big game vs. ECU. He comes through in a huge spot with a 3-run double to RCF with 2 outs. CCU leads 3-0, M1.

Oregon State gets a man into scoring position against Jacob Morrison in the 2nd, but he gets a couple of ground outs to escape without any damage. Very sure-handed defense behind him, and pitching to contact definitely feels like a winning formula for Morrison today. 3-0 Coastal.

Shades of Danny Hayes hitting a rocket for Oregon State in 2013 CWSโ€”only to see the wind knock it down and land in an outfielder's glove. Not the first time this CWS has felt 2013-ish. Arquette & Turley each hammer balls that are caught at the wall, but Talt gets one out. 3-1 CCU

We've seen some uncharacteristic sloppy infield defense in this CWS, costing a number of teams in key spots. Oregon State makes an error on a routine double play ball, leads to at least 2 more runs for Coastal, which now leads 5-1, still threatening.

Jacob Morrison is in control for Coastal Carolina Baseball, with a 6-1 lead after 5 innings. Morrison has retired 9 straight since allowing that solo homer to Easton Talt in the 3rd. Just filling up the zone and letting his defense do work behind him. Tough task ahead for Oregon State.

Jacob Morrison has been one of the best pitchers in the nation all year long. Tonight was really just more of the same -- this is who he is. So incredibly consistent, such wonderful feel for pitching. He delivered the goods tonight for Coastal Carolina Baseball, exits after 7.2 IP, 1 ER.

FINAL: Coastal Carolina beats Oregon State 6-2 to climb within one win of the CWS Finals. That's 25 wins in a row for the Chanticleers -- simply incredible. Coastal continues to be a ridiculous run prevention machine. Jacob Morrison gets the game ball today; he's now 12-0.

COLUMN: Jacob Morrison's excellence has become commonplace, and the same is true for Coastal Carolina Baseball as a whole. It might feel routine, it might feel like business as usual โ€” but this club's consistency should be celebrated, because it is remarkable: d1baseball.com/postseason/cwsโ€ฆ

So, this Gage Wood show is pretty good, eh? He has retired 12 straight Murray State hitters to open the game, and struck out the last 6. Jump pumping strikes at 96-98 with that good big downer curveball at 83-84. Pure filth. Arkansas Baseball leads 1-0 after 4.

Aaron Fitt (@aaronfitt) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Gage Wood has just fired a 19-strikeout no-hitter. In the College World Series. That most dominant pitching performance I've ever seen in Omaha. 3rd no-hitter in CWS history. Just wow.
