It’s been quite a few years since we have had the cows out on our permanent pastures this early in May. Grass has really exploded lately.

I have had people ask why we intensively manage our pastures. Here is what 7-8 days of regrowth looks like. Cows are only in one area for 24 hrs

Always seems like the farm plot goes in after hours. Tash and I have it down to a science.

Pulled a hairy vetch plant today man does it ever put up a lot of nodules!! Have another field of it but it barely established any. I have made sure that my local supplier will have inoculant in this summer so I can apply it.

Made a second mobile waterer this year. Made some modifications from our original design. Like having the storage option to ensure they can’t over drink the supply. Most of this was made on a budget with metal and old wagon we had lying around. Tank wheels princess auto find
