ATHLETES: As you continue your journey in athletics, you realize it is not about the awards, the wins, the losses, or the trophies. It is about the relationships, the memories, the process, the grind, and the habits that you form. It is about the person you become!

Summer AAU/Club is great but there is something special about student-athletes competing against rival schools, in front of a crowd of community members, friends, and family, after attending classes all day, while playing alongside teammates who are also their classmates.

I sent this message to my coaching staff today. A reminder for our opening game tonight. Tonight is a great night to showcase our transformational coaching style. This includes how we handle ourselves on the sidelines with the kids, opponent and refs. Especially the refs.

The majority of HS athletes won’t play at the next level. The HS athletic experience should be built around what’s best for those athletes, not the few who are lucky enough to continue to play. Build your program to include all of your kids. HS sports should be about HS athletes!
