1/6 Tiny Tickers continues to push for all newborn babies in the UK to have access to #pulseoximetry testing. We’re proud to have funded & placed nearly 600 machines in #NHS hospitals, which has contributed to the fact that 78% of neonatal units are now providing the test.

BAPM Andrew Ewer We Imperial NHS 💙 have been routinely doing pulse oximetry as part of NIPE over the last 7/8 years or so. So far we have identified a few TA/PAPVD, coarctation and only last week a case of HLHS not detected antenatally. Delighted that BAPM will support this.

The Newborn Foundation had its first meetings with #NewbornScreening officials in the UK in 2011, 2012, 2013. A dozen years later, there is still no required newborn pulse oximetry screening in the UK. 😞Kudos to Andrew Ewer, Ngozi Edi-Osagie et al, for shining💡on this. #ItsDueTime
