Today is the 2 year anniversary of Together We Stand U.K. After a much needed pause, I am keen to keep pushing forward with these important and much neglected issues. I’m leaving this here as a reminder - the MD who injured and abused me on countless occasions.

The same MD was arrested and is currently awaiting charges. To the people who have shown me overwhelming support, I see you. To the people who choose to ignore, I see you too.

This is a battle so much bigger than my case though. It’s one battle in a huge war. Abuse is prevalent in the Arts, there are huge gaps in legislation and there is a vast amount of misconduct and negligence within the police force. It’s an uphill struggle.

The number one reason why people don’t speak up is fear of repercussions. We need to stand tall and not be afraid. I’m not afraid. Together We Stand UK 💗

International Women’s Day… International women’s day is a day to acknowledge women’s rights, equality and a time to celebrate the achievements of astounding women across the globe. I’ve never considered myself to be a feminist but I do consider myself to be a fighter!

I applaud all women fighting their respective battles, no matter how big or small. Life is a journey and I have certainly had a challenging one! Words cannot express how much love I have for my family and friends who have shown unconditional love and support.

I am also hugely proud of myself. I am passionate, ambitious and have overcome what have life has thrown to the best of my ability. I don’t have all the answers but I do know that I will continue to learn and grow.

I am dedicated to fighting domestic abuse and harassment, particularly in the Arts sector and I promise I will do my absolute utmost where this is concerned.
