Repeated applications of "hot" DMIs during the summer on bentgrass can result in thinning and weaker turf. Weaker turf = greater weed pressure (silvery thread moss in this case).

FINALLY! I have been waiting for C5 to end to share the sprayer we have built as part of my research. This real-time, precision sprayer uses the vegetative index, VARI, (hence the name: VARI-Cool Sprayer) for detection. Thanks to everyone who helped with this project! #VARICool

This year at the Tri-Societies meeting, I gave a talk regarding ways to increase fungicide efficacy and longevity against dollar spot. A main point of that talk was the worry of losing chlorothalonil use on greens. The EPA recently completed the interim registration review!

I am feeling beyond thankful to be attending my second GIS in this beautiful city! I love it here!
