I used to watch everything: practice, quals, happy hour, all the races every weekend. I still want to be all in for this sport but I canโ€™t. Every year I am skipping more races, and I donโ€™t spend any money on NASCAR. If the product was good the day or time wouldnโ€™t matter.

Kelly Crandall Playoffs donโ€™t belong in motorsports. They are trying to force concepts from 1v1 sports that donโ€™t belong here. NASCAR has a legitimacy problem. The gimmicks didnโ€™t work and chased away millions of fans. We need to get back to basics, appeal to the core racing fan again.

For anyone wondering, there are 4 races left in the 2025 CARS Tour season and the top 5 in points are separated by only 33 points. No playoffs. No gimmicks. Season long points championship and itโ€™s getting GOOD. Iโ€™d tune in on FloRacing next weekend at Florence๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’ฏ

SVG 4 wins = 192 points SVG 19 other races = 272 points An average of 14 points per race where you donโ€™t win, but youโ€™re going to be a top 5 seed next week? NASCAR, itโ€™s time for a change.

Family Man (Dave) Money Talks NASCAR Any change would be the 3rd attempt at a playoff style system, if they still have any resets or eliminations it will still produce undeserving champions. If you have to keep making changes your philosophy is flawed. Full season is the way to go, the gimmicks had their chance.

Alan Cavanna Winning does matter under a full season format, you get the most points. A underdog win is now overshadowed by โ€œplayoff implicationsโ€ even though that driver will likely be out in the first round anyway. Restoring legitimacy to the championship is more important than fake drama

Zach Sullivan (@biggelstv) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The โ€œis it a driver or the teamโ€ argument is a red herring. Regardless of which it is, the problem with the format is still the same.

By the way, a full-season points format is *literally* the best way to determine who is the best team that season. But they get paid to not care about actual logic.

Gassss No playoffs PERIOD!!! IndyCar has an excellent championship format that often comes down to the last race. This year was a rare exception with Alex Palou wrapping it up early. His season should be celebrated because he truly earned that title!

Awesome. This is a great thing. Now, since weโ€™re bringing back the good ole days, bring back full season points & we might be cooking something ๐Ÿค”
