For today's daily dose of deep-sea weird, meet the armored searobin! These unusual fish use modified fins to move across the seafloor and branched "whiskers" in front of their mouths to help them sense food. This one was seen at 600 m (1,970 ft) depth south of the Florida Keys.

This cute chimaera stopped to say hello to ROV Deep Discoverer during a dive off FL coast, giving us a good view of the lateral lines running across its head that allow it to detect pressure waves (like our ears). Hey little, buddy!
