My brand new instrumental album, Time's Not Real, is here! Didn't think that name would be so apt these days, I hope this makes quarantine a little easier for ya Released w/ @_DustCollectors, art by @cumulus_frisbee SC: soundcloud.com/mirrorish/mirr… Spotify: open.spotify.com/album/0Euvhtqj…

To all my freelance industry homies, if you help set up a deal/walk someone into one, please make sure to get a finders fee (standard 10% depending on the situation). I know a lot of us usually don’t get credited for a lot of situations, so you should at least get compensated.

It’s definitely going to be an interesting next few months for LoFi as much more money continues to come into the genre. Huge playlists being built, bots, more aliases. This is the metamorphosis stage for the new business side of it all.

people exploit lofi all the time. the question is who’s willing to stick around and support the artists who put their life into it.

A single DCR song just hit 10,000,000 streams. Just wow. I don’t even know where to start. These numbers feel a little unreal sometimes. For me at least it can be hard to contextualize that big of a thing.

I’d much rather have someone start a conversation with “hey, how are you doing” than “hey, I’d like to submit to your label”. Not sure why but I think I like having some sort of idea of who that person is before I get a submission or an inquiry.

This is a friendly call to my fellow producers who are fortunate enough to make money off their music, ESPECIALLY music rooted in black culture (lofi hip hop!!), to donate to your preferred org who advocates for the lives of black people. I'll leave a couple suggestions! ⬇️

Been thinking a lot about DCRs relationship with music and it’s artists a lot these past few weeks and the last couple of days have only magnified my thoughts. Dedicated more than ever to provide equal opportunities to everyone and promote equality through this genre.
