We’re #BreakingBack! Fantastic day of Depth Studies research with High School students from Hurlstobe Agricultural College. Some brand new Open Source Mycetoma compounds will soon be on their way to our collaborators in the Netherlands for testing. We met some wonderful young scientists too!

Looking forward to 7 conference talks and 1 poster from SCOPE Group members this week at #RACI2022 spanning medicinal chemistry with Open Source Mycetoma, Breaking Good work with school students/UG, #SciCom with improv and music, #CitizenScience, GitHub lab notebooks and #ChemEd come say 👋

We've been very spoiled having wonderful speakers from the Centre for Drug Discovery Innovation and Sydney Chemistry come to talk to high school students about their research and how they ended up working in science - thanks again to Elizabeth Cairns, Genevieve Firmer, Larissa Braz Sousa and Dr Geosmin Turpin!

Thanks to Breaking Good for having me. Super fun to come talk to young bright minds about my research and my seemingly not so traditional career path (although it actually seems like quite a few of us got here in very different ways!)
