This seems like a really bad sign of distress from a VC. Hoping people don't start to do this in Australia. Anyone seeing this?

I wish there was more of this type of approach in the Australian venture space. Too often people commit to an idea (or worse developing software) before they have validated the opportunity. You can succeed through iteration and learning and it might even be less stressful!

Without data it is hard to know whether you are in your own little microcosm or really feeling the vibe. This feels right to me - things are headed in the right direction (albeit a lot more negative news to come out).

Hopefully some useful advice for aspiring angels. More experienced heads might get a laugh.

What fields do fathers pass on the most advantage to their sons?

Would be interested in the stats about entrepreneurship in families (not just fathers to sons). Lots of these things look too hereditary.
