This week the Historic Three Year Lectionary gives us the Lord’s Prayer and Jesus teaching us about how we approach God as a loving Father, a good neighbor, a faithful friend. It’s a clear lesson that pre-written prayers are faithful when prayed by faith.

The problem with trying to convince people that their sin isn't sin, is that you might succeed. We all need Jesus' forgiveness for our disordered thoughts, words, and deeds. Why prevent each other from repenting, that we might be absolved?

I just want Calvinists to know that while we disagree about Limited atonement, Lutherans think this kind of thing is silly. The question isn’t about whether or not God’s will seems fair to us, but rather, how do we understand His Word.
