How do you deal with a custom, proprietary spline? Why, you make a custom adapter for it, that's what you do. > crank adapter > 7075-T6 aluminum > raw finish

I love getting random images of freshly cut gears texted to me. What do these go to? What are they for? No clue. But I like them πŸ‘

Handcrafted mahogany. Exquisitely finished. On a racecar. Say what now?? This 1924 Hispano-Suiza H6C was commissioned by AndrΓ© Dubonnet: WWI fighter pilot, heir to an apΓ©ritif fortune, racecar driver, & Olympic bobsledder. This man lived life fully & enjoyed the finer things.

I helped fabricate these titanium headers for our FSAE car back in the day. We ebay sourced a few different sets of OEM Ti headers, cutting up & then piecing together as necessary the nice factory mandrel bends to make this one-off unit. You know the tubes were equal length πŸ‘

Attended Koi Fest yesterday for the first time (yes, this is a thing) & was shocked by: 1) How popular it is 2) How big the fish get 3) How much money is involved Should have known when a McLaren was the 3rd car in the lot. Good news: The filter tanks appear to be

My father just gifted me this Sunbeam Rain King Sprinkler from the late '40s. Cast iron body & head. Bevel gears rotate the sprayer tubes when you twist the knob on top. A product of a different time. It still works great today.

Can a sound be too good for its own good? One of the first parts I had made for my VFR800 was a custom spec, perforated core, straight-thru, reverse cone megaphone muffler. It sounded raw. Deep. MotoGP like. And really, really loud. Ended up making a baffle to tone it down.

The element of surprise. My customer regularly raced this bike on track days. Put it through its paces flat out. Other racers must have been bewildered. How was a heavy, slow sport-tourer passing their literbikes? A silent infusion of 10psi bumped the power by 75%. That's how.
