The tradition of the loving cup dates back to Anglo-Saxon times, rooted in history when King Edward the Martyr was assassinated in 979 while sharing a drink at a banquet. During this ceremony, the cup is passed around the table, with each guest raising it to their neighbor.

On June 24th, the Master and Environmental Cleaners participated in the historic election of the new City of London Sheriffs and Bridgemasters at the Common Hall gathering. Congratulations to Alderman Gregory Jones KC and David Chalk on their election! 🎉

On June 20th, the Brigantes Breakfast was held at the stunning St George’s Hall in Liverpool. The Brigantes, the Association of City of London Liverymen in the North, hosted a fantastic event fostering connections between Liverymen with ties to the North.

The Environmental Cleaners' Charitable Trust has provided a bursary to support students at the City of London School for Girls. We are thrilled to announce that we are now extending this support to the City of London School, benefiting boys aged nine to eighteen.
