I love this perspective from Ted McLoof, of the @UArizona Debate Series & lecturer in UA_English: “The debate series promotes civil discourse across all universities. We aim to destigmatize debate by emphasizing communication over conflict." bit.ly/46YbslX

Genuine question: I didn’t have an imaginary friend growing up. No adults I know had imaginary friends. No kids I know have imaginary friends. But movies keep acting like they’re this universal thing we all have. Is this just a lazy trope, or do people actually have them?

Watching Hit Man. Student: “When did our professor get hot?” Um, at the start of this film. It’s Glen Powell. We’re not supposed to buy that he was, like, a nerd right?

Rewatching BARRY. One of the best shows ever made in seasons 1 & 2, and then just…got up its own ass. Stopped caring about story (Chloe’s brought in, then dropped, Albert’s brought in, then dropped). Hader fell in love with his own directing and the rest became about that.
