The #ECUSpeech team had an amazing week at the SPA National Conference. In summary: - Elizabeth Armstrong and Kerri Colegate presented a workshop on culturally secure speech pathology services for Aboriginal clients with brain injury 1

Elizabeth Armstrong also presented a keynote speech on speech pathology practice in Aboriginal spaces - Natalie Ciccone and Mitchell Walley presented on incorporating telehealth into culturally secure speech pathology services for Aboriginal Australians 2

Suzanne Meldrum presented a replication study of a cross situational statistical learning intervention for late talkers, and an acceptability study of whether parents could be trained to deliver this intervention with fidelity 3

Today, at the conclusion of Reconciliation Week, we celebrate Mabo Day. In 1992, the Mabo decision acknowledged the traditional rights of Indigenous people to their land and waters. We continue to honour the land and water rights of Aboriginals and/or Torres Strait Islanders.
