Congratulations to Detroit Hist Society in Detroit, MI who was approved for Climate Smart Humanities Organizations funding! The Detroit Historical Society will develop a climate action plan to protect 300,000 artifacts in their collection from extreme weather events.

Congratulations to San Antonio Office of Historic Preservation in San Antonio, TX who was approved for Climate Smart Humanities Organizations funding! The city will develop a Climate Heritage Strategic Plan to protect their cultural heritage & strengthen climate resiliency through culture-based approaches.

Congratulations to University of Illinois Chicago in Chicago, IL who was approved for Climate Smart Humanities Organizations funding! UIC will initiate energy assessments & utility audits to determine the best mitigation & adaptation plan for its Gallery 400 & Jane Addams Hull-House Museum.

Congratulations to Anchorage Museum in Anchorage, AK who was approved for Climate Smart Humanities Organizations funding! The Anchorage Museum will work w/ sustainability experts to create & implement a sustainability plan that will include comprehensive energy & carbon audits.

Congratulations to King County Library in Issaquah, WA who was approved for Climate Smart Humanities Organizations funding! The King County Library System will conduct energy audits of all 50 of their buildings to develop a climate action plan for reducing their carbon footprint.
