“Ms.D, I want to learn about the human body. - E “ How do we see colour?” - H These inquirers sparked some interest on the 5 senses!

As we began measurement this week. We’re beginning to learn about non standard units of measurement and the terms longer and shorter!

We have some real engineers and architects in FDK2! This all lead by some great inquirers that started with a question “How do you build a house?” -Y. Take a look at some of our floor plans!

We started our unit of inquiry surrounding #SharingthePlanet”, our class is learning about gestures, tone of voice, and other non-verbal means to communicate and respond. In their play, students used play dough mats to convey different emotions by creating facial expressions.

We did a story retell of The Very Hungry Caterpillar creating art with modelling clay. In our unit of inquiry, we’ve been discussing healthy eating! We compared what the caterpillar ate that was healthy and unhealthy. And wrapped it up by making a fruit salad!

We have some great readers in our room! Using our new decodable books to practice their sight words and knowledge of their letter sounds!

Things are buzzing in our room. We have been learning all about bees. Our friends were curious how they make honey and how they change as part of a life cycle. These inquirers used their knowledge from our circle to label the parts of a bee. As other friends create a hive. 🐝

Our class learned all about the 🐝. These thinkers took action and discussed ways they could combat climate change and pollution to save the bees! Take a look at our posters!

Our kindergarten yard is coming along! Thank you to the grade 3’s and student council for all your hard work today! A perfect way to solidify our learning about plants and soils! #caring

Our learner profile attribute for this month was reflective. We took some time today to look back on our learning through our portfolios. These little griffins have grown so much, I’m so proud to be their teacher. 🤍🤍🤍

We showed some Gator gratitude to share some fun and learning with C. Nicholson grade 1 class… We shared some knowledge about science learning and did a stem activity to build different habitats together! What a lovely Friday afternoon!
