If science is so great, how does it explain Egyptian mummies coming back to unlife and having command of scarab swarms that can eat people in seconds?

The Guillermo del Toro Hellboy films were some of my favorites because, like with everything he directs, everything was so deliberate, so precise, so intended. All film is art, but his work had such purpose behind it, right down to the squeaks the monsters made.
Anyway.

They actually built and shot a practical effect demon character and then decided to throw it away in favor of AI generated slop.

I'm enjoying Everybody Loves Raymond, but also mystified by whatever studio note convinced them to make the opening of the show a monologue explaining the relatively basic concept of a domestic sitcom. I suppose I could see that being wonderful in a self-aware kind of way.

It's so fucking depressing that every non-nintendo developer doesn't actually make kids games anymore, they just tap into adult nostalgia and make kid game-shaped age regression fantasies
