your 20s are all about repeatedly rediscovering basic facts like 'I feel better when I wash my face' or 'eating breakfast is actually a great idea'

I love the genuine mindfuck of having been a parent who took your teenage kid to see all ninety of the Hunger Games movies and would later ask out loud how they got radicalized. Like did you just disassociate for three hours?

“I’m embarrassed that I thought I would be an overnight success. I thought I was talented, but now I feel like I’m waking up from a fever dream. Maybe I am as delusional as everyone thinks I am.” — Madison Sasser link.medium.com/ntJdcMXeAJb

I’m committed to loving myself at every size. I said in my latest article that entering my mid-twenties means accepting my body as it changes. My grandma took me shopping today. We bought clothes in a bigger size. I want to make healthy decisions but still love the body I’m in.

Why do we not hear the “women should stay home with their children, it’s so important” folks talking about universal health care not tied to employment? Why don’t we hear them talking about wage stagnation and the income gap? I think we know the answer, don’t we?

I just published a rambling 11-minute article about how I feel entering my mid-twenties. This is a transition into a new writing era. The first step is acceptance. I'm not an ingenue anymore. I can't depend on my enthusiasm and marketing gimmicks. I'm ready to do the work.
