We urgently need to reform this short-termist fiscal framework so that our public finances can be truly sustainable. There are lots of suggestions out there from the likes of Institute for Government , National Institute of Economic and Social Research , CETEx (Centre for Economic Transition Expertise) , IPPR , NEF Hopefully govt looks seriously at these.
