It was wonderful this lunchtime to see students Wolverhampton Grammar School get moving for #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek with some bulb planting in the Bennett Story Garden. They certainly earned their floral cakes, which they intricately decorated.
Harry Potter Fan Club Wolverhampton Grammar School mixed their very own potions on Monday. Watch out for Harry, who is mixing a powerful batch of Polyjuice! After half term, Herbology classes will be underway. #readingforpleasure
It was wonderful to welcome families to the WGS Library for yesterday's pirate themed Discover Reading Project. Our Reading Ambassadors brilliantly brought the book 'Pirate Stew' to life with expert boat building and literacy treasure hunts in our sandpit. #WeAreWGS
Reception and Year 1 Wolverhampton Grammar Junior School enjoyed a special story time this morning with the adorable Penfold and Mossop. Thank you to Hannah Clark for bringing her picture books to life, and to her husband Jake for bringing the puppies for an adventure in our Story Garden.
We're excited to welcome Andy Day to Wolverhampton Grammar School tomorrow as we celebrate the launch of Andy's first children's book, 'Dino Dad'. We highly recommend this brand-new Dino-tastic adventure series, published by PuffinBooks. #WeAreWGS #readingforpleasure
We were delighted to welcome Year 9 from Codsall High School to Wolverhampton Grammar School for a Herbology workshop and escape room experience WGS Library. We challenged them to make a magical plant, inspired by Pari Thomson's 'Greenwild', and were impressed by their creations. #powerofpartnerships
Mrs Rowley and Professor Shaw from Southern Connecticut State University 🦉 were delighted to present at this year's UKLA Conference. It was a pleasure to share the impact of the Merchant Taylors' Company funded Bennett Story Garden and inspire other schools and universities to create their own literary gardens.
