Two years ago today, an Israeli sniper shot Palestinian American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh while she was on assignment in broad daylight with her camera crew and wearing her PRESS vest.

Israeli security forces then attacked her funeral.

No one has ever been held accountable.

People *intentionally* blocking help so it can’t get through doesn’t actually bother you? Oh ok.

Unsurprisingly, it’s Harvard Medical School faculty who are most vocally calling for police action and punishment. As Fanon observed over 60 years ago, physicians are structurally disposed to be far more aligned with state violence than with struggles for freedom from it.

As Israel expands its operations in Rafah, the UN says 150,000 Palestinians have now been forcibly displaced to areas unfit for human habitation. Forced displacement not only anticipates atrocity, but is an atrocity in and of itself.
