The fact that people are more willing to wear a mask in zoos to protect animals, but not in hospitals to protect patients shows how badly governments and public health departments are failing.

The easiest way to continue the colonial, segregationist, and racist project. Once you’re disabled, people cease to see you, let alone as a person.

You can’t have any of the world you want nor advocate for subjugated peoples without disability justice

Otherwise you’re leaving

Every disability system you ignore because you’re nondisabled are the exact systems of segregation and subjugation either you, or the people of Gaza, now as disabled people, will have to navigate.

And there’s a reason why they maintain them as they do: because it’s

It’s like shooting fish in a barrel when you then bomb the hospitals, plus then the hoi polloi then get to have their fun too:

“Well if you were healthy, this wouldn’t be a problem.”
“Black people just eat junk.”
“They’re just a diseased culture”
“They’re all so unsanitary.”

Almost never hear of disabled people immigrating or seeking asylum. Most countries have ordinances and policies keeping us from doing so.

It’s why imperialist governments disable those their committing genocide against first (or segregate or underfund their healthcare).

In disability integration for their own citizens, let alone for those seeking refuge or asylum.

People have some rosy idea of what is provided for disabled people, but for the most part you’re an afterthought at best and a PR opportunity. They don’t care.

Specifically you

The reason. Many disabled people do. We don’t get evacuated in emergency as readily as Nondisabled people do and while I am more than happy to continue to advocate, I feel like some nondisabled people need a little reality check on the fact that no single country has fully

There are no accessible vans during a genocide.

There’s a young man named Khaled who has a disability and is attempting to evacuate Gaza. I’ve been tagged in videos no less than a thousand times and duetted it. He is not being allowed to evacuate for “whatever reason.”

I know

I don’t know who needs to hear this but if you stop being an ally because you feel you don’t like how a marginalized person treated you, you were never an ally

Human rights are fundamental and should not be contingent on powerful people feeling like their ring has been kissed

I’m one of the most fortunate among displaced people in Gaza! Today I could finally get a bed after having to sleep on the floor for the past 6 months, and guess who had the honor of testing it out first?

'Say 'people with disabilities' rather than 'disabled people' because it's important to put the fact that you are people first.'

Mate, if you forget that I'm a person because I say 'disabled person' rather than 'person with a disability', that's very much a you problem.

Donations have slowed down. We're still at 10 IV hoodies that I'll be giving away to people who need them, all thanks to people donating. If you'd like to donate a hoodie, you can DM me. Even 20$ can help! Thanks!

I hate that people think just cause my hoodies have features that can help people with cancer, dialysis, etc. That it's not for them. If you like my work and want to buy it. Do it. Don't tell me that it's not an option for you because it's inclusive.

I've had many people say they love my hoodie's design but then say it's not for them. Just cause a clothing or accessory is designed to include disabled people. Does not mean it's not for able bodied people. The more people buy inclusive things, the more available it becomes!

It hurts that people keep saying they don't need my hoodies so they won't buy them.

Accessible clothing isn't just for disabled people. It's for EVERYONE!

I feel like I'm being punished for creating inclusive clothing. I made these hoodies for EVERYONE!
