Congratulations Jonathan 'Boo and Vote' Cohn on your one-year anniversary leading Progressive Mass, and looking forward to attending the virtual PM gala on Sunday, April 28th! #mapoli
Progressive Mass But what I continue to love about Progressive Mass is the commitment to fostering a more informed and engaged public. A public that knows what candidates stand for, how elected officials are voting, and how and when to take action.
Progressive Mass I got to meet many people that year that I still know and organize with today. I’ve gotten much more involved over the years (that’s what happens when you are a volunteer who comes back!).
Progressive Mass PM's scorecard was also where I turned to learn more about all the state legislators whose names I was hearing for the first time since PM’s scorecard showed how legislators were voting on key issues.
Progressive Mass And PM chapters were the hosts of the cycle’s best candidate forums as well since they were willing to ask hard questions and follow up when candidates didn’t want to answer.
Progressive Mass 2014 was also a big year for Massachusetts elections, as we had a number of open and contested statewide races. PM -- with its robust, multi-issue, published questionnaires -- was where I went to learn more about the candidates and where they stood on issues that mattered to me.
Progressive Mass Back then, in 2014 (yes, 2014 was a decade ago -- can you believe it?), I was new to Massachusetts but wanted to get more involved.
Today Secretary Patrick Tutwiler celebrated Nashoba Valley Tech's groundbreaking on a new facility to house their Robotics, Engineering, and Web programs thanks to $3.8M in Skills Capital Grants.
These grants expand student opportunities to engage in applied learning experiences.
Many of DER’s #EcologicalRestoration projects include a recreational component such as boardwalks, trails, & other accessible opportunities for the public to enjoy. 🌱💧Get outdoors this #EarthMonth . Find a restored area near you ➡️ ow.ly/RWfK50R9FEA #RestorationInAction
Governor Dukakis set the standard for honest and accountable leadership, building a legacy that inspires past, present, and future leaders. Honored to join Gov. Bill Weld, Deval Patrick, President Aoun, and former Speaker DeLeo at Northeastern U. to celebrate his remarkable career.
The @PFASActionGroup of #NantucketMA has been on the front lines of #PFAS since 2020. Their recommendations following the new U.S. EPA #DrinkingWater rule align with 'An Act to protect Massachusetts public health from PFAS' by @RepKateHogan & Julian Cyr. Let's #ActOnPFAS now! #MAPoli
Yesterday, I was honored to join Kim Driscoll and many of my colleagues in the Legislature to celebrate Eid al-Fitr at the State House, at an event hosted by State Senator Liz Miranda, Black & Latino Caucus, and the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center. Eid Mubarak!
''Cities and towns across the state have already expressed a desire to do so [pass real estate transfer fees], and the state should let them and ensure that the local option is flexible enough for cities and towns across the state to benefit.''
