On my visit to Kumi District, I met with district leaders and officials, to discuss the impact of Irish Aid funding 20 years ago to education, health, roads and production. Ireland’s work on building local capacity was really appreciated. #30yearsIreUg

Always delighted to visit schools and meet the future of Uganda. It was especially great to see the Mary McAleese school in Kumi, named after our President’s visit in 2001, it now has over 1,000 children enrolled, thank you Head Teacher Martha for the welcome. #30yearsIreUg

How time flies! I laid the foundation stone for the district Veterinary office in Kumi in May 2000. Strange to see my name in stone! Great to meet a vibrant DVO and her team at work! #30yearsIreUg ps. there’s always a visitors book to sign
